This banner is symbolic of the success rate of Waa-Mu alums. In this photo you can see Heather Headley ('97) who originated the role of Nala in Disney's Lion King on Broadway, Catherine Brunell ('97) who has covered Cosette and Eponine in the National Tour and Broadway productions of Les Miserables and who is now a swing in the Broadway production, Kate Fisher ('95) who is playing Cosette in the National Tour of Les Mis and who has appeared in the role on Broadway, and Emily Kosloski ('96) who is the new Cosette understudy in the National Tour of Les Mis!

Waa-Mu senior Kate Shindle has recently been crowned Miss America for 1998. We are very proud of Kate, one of Waa-Mu's most dedicated workers, as a performer and behind the scenes. Catch a glimpse of her talent from the 1996 Waa-Mu Show, Timeless. Check out Kate's Miss America website!
	Recent Waa-Mu alum Heather Headley was understudying Audra MacDonald in Broadway's next hit, Ragtime (which just happens to be directed by Waa-Mu alum Frank Galati), when she was chosen to play the role of Nala in Disney's The Lion King. Heather will open on Broadway this fall. The photo is from the 1995 Waa-Mu Show, but if you click here you can hear a sound clip of Heather from the 1996 Waa-Mu Show, Timeless. UPDATE: Ms. Headley recently appeared on Late Night with David Letterman, singing her song from The Lion King, "Shadowland." Katherine Fisher is currenty playing Cosette in the National Tour of Les Miserables The photo is from the 1995 Waa-Mu Show, but if you click here you can hear a sound clip of Kate from the 1994 Waa-Mu Show, Lost and Found. 	In the whole wide world who would have thought that Catherine Brunell, seen here in 1995, would leave Northwestern during her junior year to cover the roles of Cosette and Eponine in the National Tour of Les Miserables (Yes, the same tour as Ms. Fisher!). Fisher and Brunell have just finished a recent stop on Broadway and are currently touring the rest of the country. UPDATE: Catherine is now a swing with the Broadway production of Les Mis.
This photo contains several successful Waa-Mu alums. If you look closely you may be able to see James Weitzer in the back right corner. Weitzer is currently an understudy in a National Tour of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Phantom of the Opera. Click on the picture to hear Jim singing from the 1994 Waa-Mu Show, his sophomore year. UPDATE: Jim is now performing the role of Raoul in the same tour.
