| Recent Waa-Mu alum Heather Headley was understudying Audra MacDonald in Broadway's next hit, Ragtime (which just happens to be directed by Waa-Mu alum Frank Galati), when she was chosen to play the role of Nala in Disney's The Lion King. In the whole wide world who would have thought that Catherine Brunell, seen here in 1995, would leave Northwestern during her junior year to cover the roles of Cosette and Eponine in the National Tour of Les Miserables (Yes, the same tour as Ms. Fisher!). Fisher and Brunell have just finished a recent stop on Broadway and are currently touring the rest of the country. UPDATE: Catherine is now a swing with the Broadway production of Les Mis. |
